A Minnesota teen, Elijah Miller, 19, faces homicide charges after a drunk-driving crash killed his 19-year-old passenger, Nolan Henke, in August 2025.
Elijah Michael Miller, 19, of Cokato, Minnesota, has been charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with a fatal crash on August 24, 2025, near Dassel.
The incident occurred around 3:05 a.m. when Miller’s vehicle, traveling at 71 to 73 mph on Meeker County Road 6, struck a power pole and rolled over, killing passenger Nolan Henke, 19, from a severe head injury.
Miller, critically injured and unresponsive, was rescued from the wreckage.
Investigators found no mechanical or weather-related causes.
A juvenile witness reported Miller had been drinking, appeared intoxicated, and was advised not to drive but left anyway.
Crash detection software on Henke’s phone triggered an alert at the time of impact.
Miller is scheduled for his first court appearance on March 31, 2026, facing charges of negligent operation and operation while under the influence.
