Eastern Washington University is relocating its dental hygiene clinic to a new $11.5 million facility on Spokane’s Health Peninsula Campus in January 2027, funded by a $1 million Delta Dental grant and $10.5 million in state funding.
The new clinic, part of a larger health sciences expansion, will serve as a training site for 80 dental hygiene students and provide affordable care to uninsured and underinsured patients.
It will also support EWU’s upcoming Master of Dental Therapy program, aiming to address regional dental workforce shortages.
The move marks a transition from a rented space to a dedicated, university-owned building near Gonzaga University and the University of Washington’s medical center.
