Delhi-Mumbai Expressway delayed to June 2026; 875 km open, 465 km of NH-66 upgraded.
The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway’s completion has been pushed to June 2026, with the Delhi-Vadodara section due by May 2026 and Vadodara-Mumbai by June, according to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Delays in three Gujarat packages, totaling about 90 km near Surat, stem from land acquisition, permissions, and contractor issues, pushing their completion to 2027-28.
Despite this, 875 km of the 1,350 km expressway is already open, with overall costs within budget.
A new DND-Manesar link will ease access, reducing congestion and travel time.
Meanwhile, 465 km of the Mumbai-Goa NH-66 is upgraded, with the final 20 km expected by June 2026.
