Delhi launches skill program for 3,728 artisans, offering training, stipends, and market access via ONDC.

The Delhi government has launched the Chief Minister Skill Development Scheme to train 3,728 artisans in khadi, handloom, and cottage industries, starting with tailors from the e-Shram portal. The 12-day program offers stipends, meals, toolkits, and digital onboarding via ONDC, along with entrepreneurship training and Recognition of Prior Learning. Targeting marginalized craftspeople, the initiative aims to boost livelihoods through modern skills and market access, with a proposed ₹57.50 crore for 2026-27.
