Clark College hosts fifth annual international education celebration featuring a Tibetan sand mandala, with public events from Feb. 23–27, 2026.
Clark College in Vancouver, Washington, is hosting its fifth annual international education celebration from February 23 to 27, 2026, featuring the creation of a traditional Tibetan sand mandala.
The event, open to the public and free of charge, includes daily sand art sessions from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, opening and closing ceremonies with chanting, and a presentation on February 26 by Venerable Lobsang Dawa about the mandala’s symbolism and compassion.
After the closing, monks will disperse the sand at Vancouver Waterfront Park between 3 and 4 pm, symbolizing impermanence and spreading blessings.
The college has hosted the tradition since 2012.
Transportation and parking are not provided.
