A Chattanooga man was arrested for allegedly setting a Walmart fire on Feb. 7, facing arson and endangerment charges.
A 31-year-old homeless man, Cody Huckabee, was arrested on February 11, 2026, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to merchandise in the men’s apparel section of a Walmart on Signal Mountain Road.
Surveillance footage from February 7 showed Huckabee pausing at a clothing rack before exiting, followed by flames erupting moments later; employees quickly put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.
No injuries were reported.
Huckabee faces multiple charges, including aggravated arson and reckless endangerment, along with probation violations for prior offenses.
The case remains under investigation, and he is scheduled for a court appearance on February 18.
