A 23-year-old Scottish woman faces terrorism charges for displaying a pro-Palestine placard linked to a banned group.
A 23-year-old Glasgow woman, Catriona Roberts, appeared in Edinburgh Sheriff Court on terrorism charges for allegedly displaying a placard linked to Palestine Action, a group banned in July 2025 after claiming responsibility for damaging two Voyager aircraft at RAF Brize Norton.
The alleged incident occurred on July 19, 2025, at St Giles Cathedral.
Under the Terrorism Act 2000, supporting the banned group carries a maximum 14-year prison sentence.
Roberts, who represented herself and wore a black jacket and keffiyeh scarf, was released without conditions.
A preliminary hearing is set for April 1, 2026, with a trial scheduled for April 23.
The case remains ongoing.
