flag Worley won a contract to engineer QatarEnergy’s CO2 storage project, targeting 4.3 million tonnes annually by 2030.

Worley has been awarded a contract by Samsung C&T to provide detailed engineering for QatarEnergy’s CO2 sequestration project in Ras Laffan, aiming to store 4.3 million tonnes of CO2 annually by 2030. The project will capture emissions from ten LNG trains, transport CO2 via underground pipelines, and store it in a depleted gas reservoir. It supports Qatar’s goal to capture over 11 million tonnes yearly by 2035 across its LNG expansions. Worley, which previously completed the front-end design, will deliver services from its Qatar office with support from India and Australia.
