Two men charged in 2026 with smuggling migrants from Mexico and Central/South America into Canada and the U.S. via air travel and shared location data.
Two men, a 27-year-old from the Dominican Republic and a 37-year-old from the U.S., have been charged in a cross-border smuggling operation spanning Canada and the U.S., according to the DOJ.
They face conspiracy and transportation charges related to moving migrants from Mexico and Central and South America.
Francisco Antonio Luna Rosado allegedly directed the operation from August 2022 to March 2024, using air travel to bring migrants to Canada before guiding them via shared location data to northern Vermont and onward to New York City.
Luna Rosado also faces money laundering charges.
