Over 500 Lincoln High students protested ICE at the Nebraska Capitol, demanding humane immigration policies.

Over 500 students from Lincoln High School and Lincoln Northeast walked out of class to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at the Nebraska Capitol. Marching along K Street, they carried signs and flags, including a Mexican flag, and gathered on the Capitol steps to chant “ICE out,” calling for more humane immigration policies. The student-led demonstration highlighted concerns over federal immigration enforcement and emphasized unity, inclusion, and advocacy for immigrant rights, reflecting a broader wave of youth activism on national issues.
