Tesla rolls out WeChat integration for Model 3 and Y in China, letting drivers send locations and get service tips via one tap.
Tesla has launched new WeChat-integrated features for Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in China via an over-the-air update, enabling drivers to send WeChat location data to their car’s navigation with one tap and receive destination-based service suggestions.
The partnership with Tencent Cloud, announced in February 2026, reflects Tesla’s effort to better align with China’s digital ecosystem, where WeChat dominates communication and services.
The update is available on existing vehicles and will be standard on future China-made Teslas, but is not being rolled out outside China.
The collaboration highlights the growing importance of local software integration in the competitive Chinese EV market.
