Tom Malinowski by nearly 900 votes. The race, which drew national attention, highlighted tensions within the Democratic Party between progressive and moderate factions. Malinowski, who faced attack ads from a super PAC linked to AIPAC over his past support for ICE funding, conceded, criticizing the influence of dark money. Mejia, who has called Israel’s war in Gaza a genocide, will face another Democratic primary in June before the general election.
