A Michigan man charged with years of child sexual abuse while babysitting faces first-degree felony counts after evidence was found in his home.
Michael Allen Bank, 58, of West Bloomfield, has been charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a child, including first-degree offenses, after allegedly abusing a child he was hired to babysit over several years.
The victim’s mother found Bank through Sittercity.com, though authorities say it's unclear if the site played a role in the case.
Police seized electronic devices during a January 15 search of Bank’s home, uncovering evidence suggesting additional potential victims.
The investigation is ongoing, with officials urging anyone with information to come forward.
Bank, who pleaded not guilty, is held without bond.
A preliminary exam is set for March 3.
