flag Justin Thomas cleared for full play after back surgery, aiming to return in late February.

Justin Thomas, a two-time major champion and 16-time PGA Tour winner, has been cleared for full golf activity after November back surgery. The 32-year-old, ranked 12th in the world, said on Instagram he is swinging freely and rebuilding strength ahead of a return, possibly during the PGA Tour’s Florida swing starting Feb. 26 with the Cognizant Classic. He underwent a microdiscectomy to treat a disc issue causing hip pain. Thomas had a strong 2025 season with a win at the RBC Heritage and eight top-10 finishes but has since dropped in the rankings after a 69th-place finish at the Procore Championship and a Ryder Cup loss. No specific return date has been set.
