Grand Falls police constable Paul Lavoie has been charged with multiple child sex-related crimes, including luring minors and distributing explicit material, following an investigation by New Brunswick’s Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT).
The alleged offenses occurred between February 10 and March 22, 2025, after the Grand Falls Police Force reported concerns about inappropriate contact with a minor.
SIRT found sufficient evidence to support the charges, which also include breach of trust by a public officer.
Lavoie is scheduled to appear in Edmundston provincial court on April 7, 2026.
The case is under active legal review, and SIRT has not released further details.
