A former teacher was jailed for abusing students at school and home in the 2000s.
Anthony Redmond, 54, a former geography teacher at Notre Dame Catholic School in Plymouth, was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison after being convicted at Plymouth Crown Court of multiple charges including abuse of a position of trust, indecency with a child, and sexual activity with minors.
The offences, which occurred during the 2000s, involved two female students and took place at his home, school premises—including a cupboard and staffroom—and a hotel.
Redmond, who denied the charges, was found guilty following a trial that began in December 2025.
The victims described lasting emotional harm, and the school admitted to safeguarding failures.
Police praised the victims for their courage in coming forward.
