On January 31, 2026, the world’s first 400MWh battery storage station using 628Ah ultra-large cylindrical cells began operating in Shijiazhuang, China, marking a major advancement in grid-scale energy storage.
Developed by EVE Energy, the Ruite New Energy Lingshou project deployed 80 5MWh DC systems and 40 power conversion units, showcasing the reliability, safety, and scalability of the technology.
Over one million 628Ah cells have been produced, validating the maturity of the design through innovations like high-toughness separators and optimized stacking.
The project also earned EVE Energy recognition as a Global Lighthouse Factory.
In a separate move, the company secured a 10GWh strategic supply agreement with Guowang Technology, signaling a shift toward long-term, ecosystem-driven collaboration to support global clean energy transitions.
