The investigation, launched in August 2025, began after a 33-year-old man was arrested in Sydney with 2 kg of cocaine and digital evidence showing cocaine-infused wood.
Authorities seized six tons of timber in Lismore and discovered a clandestine extraction site on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Four men were charged with drug production and equipment possession, while a second 33-year-old faces charges for directing the group and supplying large quantities.
The haul is valued at $14 million, and the timber’s origin remains under inquiry.
