Two men were arrested in Kansas for stealing 400 gallons of diesel fuel from a gas station.
Two men, aged 54 and 34, were arrested Sunday morning in De Soto, Kansas, after allegedly stealing about 400 gallons of diesel fuel from a Harps Food Stores gas station.
Deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2 a.m. to a box truck connected to underground fuel tanks, where they found the suspects siphoning fuel.
Both men were taken into custody without incident and face misdemeanor theft charges.
The incident is under investigation, and authorities are urging the public to report any tips through the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers hotline or website.
No injuries were reported, and the station was temporarily closed.
