flag Sadie Frost’s lawyer said he received no evidence against the Daily Mail in 2016, despite promises, and claims she only learned of a potential claim in 2019.

Sadie Frost’s former solicitor, Mark Thomson, told the High Court he was not given any evidence supporting a claim against the Daily Mail’s publisher, ANL, during a 2016 meeting with researcher Dr Evan Harris, despite Harris’s promises. Thomson said the meeting yielded no actionable information, and he never saw the alleged evidence, nor did he request a dossier from former journalist Graham Johnson’s 2019 article, which Frost said was her first awareness of a potential claim. ANL argues the claims are time-barred, asserting Frost had constructive knowledge by October 2016. The trial, led by Mr Justice Nicklin, is expected to conclude in March with a written judgment.
