A 26-year-old man, Juan Sebastian Solarte, has been indicted and arrested in connection with the 2025 fentanyl overdose death of Jacob Lee Kirk in Catawba County, North Carolina.
Charged with death by distribution and selling a Schedule II controlled substance, Solarte was apprehended in Boca Raton, Florida, on February 3, 2026, and is being held pending extradition.
