Wivenhoe Open Gardens returns May 16–17, 2026, raising funds for local causes and St Mary’s Church.
Wivenhoe Open Gardens, a fundraising event since 1987, returns May 16–17, 2026, inviting local garden owners to open their spaces to the public.
Organized by the Wivenhoe Society, the event supports community causes and St Mary’s Church, with last year’s 35 gardens drawing 700 visitors and raising £5,000—split between the church’s upkeep and 25 local groups.
Gardens will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a £5 entry fee for adults and free admission for under-14s when accompanied by an adult; cash only.
Refreshments and crafts will be available at some sites.
Interested participants must contact organizers by March 31.
