The Big 12 Conference fined Oklahoma State $50,000 for fan chants targeting The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during a men’s basketball game against BYU on February 4, 2026.
The conference stated the chants, including “F--- The Mormons,” violated its standards on respectful conduct and targeting individuals based on religion.
BYU’s coach confirmed hearing the chants, and Oklahoma State acknowledged the fine, saying it would not appeal and that the behavior fell short of its standards.
This marks at least the fourth time in a year BYU teams have faced such chants, with Colorado previously fined for similar conduct.
