A New Jersey officer and woman were charged for smuggling drugs into a Delaware prison, leading to arrests in February 2026.
A New Jersey corrections officer, Rashod Hull, 34, has been charged in connection with a drug smuggling scheme at Delaware’s Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
Authorities say Hull, along with Autumn James, 35, accepted payments from an inmate to bring drugs into the prison between December 2025 and January 2026.
On February 1, both were arrested during a drug deal at a Newark, Delaware shopping center, where officers seized hundreds of doses of suspected K2, remifentanil, and suboxone.
Hull faces multiple felony charges and is held on a $132,000 bond; James was released on a $70,000 bond.
The investigation began after concerns were raised by the Delaware Department of Correction.
