A Ford worker confronted Trump over Epstein files, was briefly suspended, but kept his job and union backing.
A Ford worker, Thomas “TJ” Sabula, remains employed and has no disciplinary record after confronting President Donald Trump on January 13, 2026, at a Dearborn, Michigan, factory, according to the UAW.
Sabula, a politically independent worker and union member, yelled criticism of Trump’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, which were only partially released despite a December 19 deadline set by a law Trump signed in November.
Video captured Trump flipping Sabula off and mouthing “you’re fired,” referencing his reality show.
Sabula, who was suspended temporarily, said he had no regrets.
UAW Vice President Laura Dickerson defended him, calling the incident a moment highlighting Trump’s attitude toward workers and reaffirming the union’s support for free speech.
