The 35-year-old, a two-time defending champion and five-time NBA All-Defensive Team selection, aims to match Larry Bird and Craig Hodges with a record-tying third title.
He will join eight elite shooters, including Devin Booker, Tyrese Maxey, Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray, Norman Powell, Kon Knueppel, and Bobby Portis Jr., in the event set for February 14 in Los Angeles.
Each round lasts 70 seconds, with the top three scorers advancing to the final.
The contest is part of All-Star Saturday Night festivities leading up to the All-Star Game.
