Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a winter carnival and announced major development projects, job creation, and law enforcement actions during a visit to Khatima.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Winter Carnival at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Government Postgraduate College in Khatima, inaugurating it with a ceremonial lamp lighting.
He praised student-led initiatives, including cultural activities like Bhajan Climbing, and highlighted major development projects in the region such as the Gadarpur-Khatima bypass, Nausar bridge, a 100-bed hospital, Kendriya Vidyalaya, sports stadium, ITI and polytechnic colleges, and a Saathi Centre.
He announced plans for a military memorial, an international airport at Pantnagar, an AIIMS satellite center, and an Industrial Smart City at Khurpiya.
Dhami cited a 17-fold rise in per capita income, doubled road network, fourfold increase in electricity production, a 44% reverse migration rate, and a 4.4% drop in unemployment.
He emphasized enforcement of anti-riot, anti-conversion, and land encroachment laws, closure of over 250 illegal madrasas, and over 28,000 youth securing government jobs through fair processes.
