Telangana CM Revanth Reddy denies plans to abolish Bhupalpally district, pledges housing and tourism projects, and rebuts BRS corruption claims.
On February 8, 2026, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy denied claims by the BRS that Bhupalpally district would be abolished, stating no such plans exist and any future reorganization would require stakeholder consultation and Assembly debate.
He reaffirmed commitments to coal miners, including abolishing the Medical Unfit Board and resolving the status of 217 dismissed workers.
Reddy announced a ₹22,500 crore plan to build 4.5 lakh houses, starting with 3,500 per constituency, and unveiled a ₹4,000 crore tourism development project in the Godavari Basin.
