Stables Tavern in Manchester is inviting public applicants to test new homemade pies in a blind tasting on February 18, where participants will sample beef and barley, chicken and leek, pork and apple, and a vegan root and lentil option, served with mash, greens, and gravy plus a pint. Selected testers will help choose the most popular pie for the new menu, launching February 23. Applicants must submit why they deserve the role and may bring a guest. The event is part of a community engagement campaign to shape the pub’s culinary offerings.
