India's INS Sudarshini ends port visit in Oman, advancing naval ties and maritime heritage.
The Indian Navy’s sail training ship INS Sudarshini has concluded its port call in Salalah, Oman, marking a key milestone in its 10-month global voyage, Lokayan 26.
The visit, which ended on February 5, 2026, strengthened naval and people-to-people ties between India and Oman, with over 600 visitors, including schoolchildren, touring the three-masted barque.
Senior officials from both nations discussed maritime cooperation, building on a strategic partnership established in 2008.
The ship, launched from Kochi in January, continues its 22,000-nautical-mile journey to promote India’s maritime heritage and the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
