Five suspects arrested in Kansas and Missouri for child sex trafficking and online exploitation.
On February 6, 2026, a joint operation by the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and multiple state and federal agencies resulted in the arrest of five individuals on charges including commercial sexual exploitation of a child, human trafficking, and electronic solicitation of minors.
The suspects, from Missouri and Kansas, were accused of using digital platforms to target underage victims.
All were booked into the Cherokee County Jail, and case files were sent to the county attorney’s office for prosecution.
The effort involved several sheriff’s offices and Homeland Security Investigations.
