The event in Bhubaneswar honored Harichandan’s legacy as a lawyer, politician, and advocate for democracy, highlighting his imprisonment during the Emergency. The English book focuses on the 1817 Paika Rebellion, which Majhi called India’s first war of independence, predating 1857.
