A Dublin man charged in a 2020 shooting that severely injured a young man will stand trial in 2026.
A 33-year-old Dublin man, Kieran Hogg, appeared in Ennis District Court charged with attempted murder and firearm offenses in connection with a 2020 shooting in Sixmilebridge, County Clare, that left 21-year-old Daniel Harty with three gunshot wounds, permanent loss of use of his left arm, and a nine-month need for a colostomy.
Hogg faces charges under common law and Section 13 of the Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act 1997 for recklessly discharging a firearm.
The case, which follows a 2023 conviction of Tony McInerney for the same attack, will proceed to the Central Criminal Court.
Judge Alec Gabbett denied bail, remanding Hogg in custody at Cloverhill Prison for a video appearance on February 11, 2026.
