She had topped qualifying and advanced through the last-16 but was narrowly defeated by Austria’s Sabine Payer by 0.06 seconds.
Ledecka, a two-time Olympic champion and world champion, has been advocating to keep the event on the Olympic programme.
She is expected to compete in the Super-G later in the Games.
