Baloch leader urges Norway to hold Pakistan officials accountable for alleged human rights abuses during their visit.
Baloch National Movement Chairman Naseem Baluch has urged Norway to scrutinize Pakistan’s former caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti during their February 15–17 visit to Oslo.
He accused both officials of involvement in widespread human rights abuses in Balochistan, including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and collective punishment, with some allegations described as crimes against humanity or genocide.
Baluch highlighted their alleged links to Shafeeq Mengal, a pro-state militia leader tied to the Tootak mass graves and sectarian violence.
He called on Norway to demand accountability, question the officials on state-militia ties, and engage with victims and rights defenders, stressing that diplomatic engagement must not come at the cost of silence on mass suffering.
Líder Baloch insta a Noruega a responsabilizar a los funcionarios paquistaníes por presuntos abusos de los derechos humanos durante su visita.
