United Way Hastings-Prince Edward raised $33,000 on Feb. 6 toward a $2.4M annual goal, still falling $500K short of local needs.
On February 6, 2026, United Way in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties launched its Day of Impact, a one-day fundraising event with 14 activities including a "Booked and Bailed" jail-themed fundraiser in Belleville, raising about two-thirds of its $50,000 daily goal.
Despite strong community support, the organization is unlikely to meet its $2.4 million annual target, expected to fall slightly short of last year’s $2.25 million.
Executive director Brandi Hodge said funding will still fall $500,000 short of local agencies’ needs, as United Way supports 48 programs addressing housing, mental health, homelessness, and addiction.
Donations are still needed before the February 15 deadline.
