Ottawa officer Blair Turner seeks Conservative nomination in former PM Poilievre’s riding.
Blair Turner, an Ottawa-area police officer, has announced he will seek the Conservative nomination in Carleton, the former riding of Prime Minister Pierre Poilievre, who lost the seat in 2025 and later won a byelection in Alberta’s Battle River—Crowfoot.
Turner previously ran unsuccessfully against Defence Minister David McGuinty in Ottawa South.
Former MP Damien Kurek will represent the Conservatives in Alberta.
Poilievre remains party leader after 87% of delegates supported him in a mandatory review.
