Luke Digby and Anastasia Vaipan-Law, Britain’s first pairs team to qualify for the Winter Olympics in 12 years, placed tenth in the team event’s pairs segment with a score of 57.29 after a fall during their throw triple Salchow, below their season best.
Despite the setback, Digby, who overcame a wrist injury, called the experience valuable.
The pair, who earned a sixth-place finish at Skate Canada, are preparing for their main event.
Meanwhile, ice dancers Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson placed third in the rhythm dance with a Spice Girls-themed routine, drawing praise from fans and judges, including Mel B, and aiming for Britain’s first Olympic figure skating medal since 1994.
