Aqua Expeditions launched its new luxury superyacht, Aqua Lares, in February 2026, offering intimate expeditions to remote destinations. The 77.4-meter vessel accommodates 30 guests across 15 suites, maintaining a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio and a high space-to-guest ratio. Despite a majority stake held by Ponant Explorations since 2024, the company remains independently operated under founder Francesco Galli Zugaro. The ship’s inaugural season features East Africa itineraries in the Seychelles, Zanzibar, and Tanzania, followed by voyages to the Norwegian Arctic, Svalbard, and the Scottish Isles. It includes adventure gear for kayaking, snorkeling, diving, and mountain biking, along with three Zodiacs and two tenders. Culinary experiences are led by Michelin-starred Mexican chef Karime Lopez, with pricing starting at $9,000 per person for a five-night trip, and charters available from $385,000.
