Alberta hospital support workers, represented by AUPE, have ratified a four-year collective agreement with Alberta Health Services and the Lamont Health Care Centre, effective April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2028.
The deal includes a 12% wage increase over four years, guaranteeing all workers earn at least $22.65 per hour by April 1, 2027, with an additional 2% long-service increase for those with 20 years of service.
The agreement covers about 27,000 employees in food services, laundry, and housekeeping.
