Spotify is expanding into physical book sales in the U.S. and U.K. through a partnership with Bookshop.org, allowing users to buy printed books directly via the app.
The move, launching later this spring, includes a new feature called Page Match that uses smartphone cameras to sync reading and listening progress between physical/e-books and audiobooks.
The tool helps users seamlessly switch between formats by scanning a page to jump to the corresponding audiobook segment.
The expansion supports Spotify’s growing audiobook service, which now offers over 500,000 English-language titles and has seen a 36% rise in listeners and 37% increase in listening hours since 2022.
The company also raised its U.S.
