Starting January 1, 2027, Singapore will raise fees for foreign-registered vehicles entering the country, increasing the daily Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) fee for cars to $50 and motorcycles to $7, up from $35 and $4.
The annual 10 free VEP days and free weekday entry hours will be eliminated.
Goods vehicle permits will rise from $40 to $70 monthly.
A new Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) 2 system will require foreign vehicles without an On-Board Unit (OBU) to pay a flat fee of $10 per operational day, with motorcycles paying $3.
OBUs can be installed starting April 1, 2026, at authorized workshops for a capped cost of $158.70.
The changes aim to align usage costs between foreign and local vehicles, reduce congestion, and support sustainable transport.
