Renée Fleming and Béla Fleck will perform Appalachian folk music at Carnegie Hall on December 3, 2026, as part of the venue’s 2026–27 season, following their withdrawal from Kennedy Center events after President Donald Trump took control.
The season also features a complete concert performance of Wagner’s Ring Cycle by Gianandrea Noseda and the Zurich Opera Orchestra, marking the first full cycle at Carnegie Hall.

15 “Lincoln,” originally commissioned for the Kennedy Center, will premiere elsewhere before being performed by the Orchestra of St. Luke’s on January 31, 2027.
The season opens October 8 with the Berlin Philharmonic and Kirill Petrenko, and includes Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting all nine of Mahler’s symphonies, with a triple performance of Mahler’s Symphony No.
8 at the Metropolitan Opera in June 2027.
