Maruti Suzuki and Andhra Pradesh launched automated driving test tracks to improve license testing accuracy and road safety.

Maruti Suzuki India has partnered with Andhra Pradesh’s transport department to launch four automated driving test tracks in Eluru, Ongole, Vizianagaram, and Anakapalli, using technology like HD cameras and RFID sensors to standardize and modernize license testing. The system, designed to reduce human intervention, will assess applicants for light and two-wheelers, with Ongole also handling heavy vehicle tests. The three-year agreement supports improved road safety through objective evaluations, expanding Maruti’s automated track network to 81 facilities nationwide.
