The study found elevated rates in 87 of 99 counties, including lung, prostate, breast, and melanoma cancers.

In response, Governor Kim Reynolds has introduced legislation to raise cigarette taxes to the national average and increase taxes on vape and hemp products, while also banning artificial dyes in school meals and expanding access to contraceptives.
