India and the U.S. launched a new defense tech project in New Delhi, boosting joint research under their 2025 defense partnership.
India and the U.S. held the 24th Indo-U.S. Joint Technical Group Plenary Meeting in New Delhi on February 3–4, 2026, advancing defense technology cooperation under their 2025 Major Defence Partnership framework.
Co-chaired by India’s DRDO’s Dr. Chandrika Kaushik and U.S. Department of War’s Michael Francis Dodd, the meeting focused on joint research in critical and emerging defense technologies, with emphasis on expanding collaboration among universities, labs, and industries.
A key outcome was a new project agreement signed between DRDO and the U.S. Defence Innovation Unit under the Innovation Bridge framework.
Senior officials from both nations’ defense, foreign affairs, and military institutions participated.
