Idaho State Police arrested two after a high-speed chase involving drugs and eluding, leading to a crash near Idaho Falls on Feb. 3, 2026.

On February 3, 2026, a white Jeep Wagoneer was pursued by Idaho State Police on I-15 near Idaho Falls after fleeing during a warrant service. The driver discarded drugs, triggered spike strips, and continued driving before crashing into a ditch and a former Shari’s restaurant parking lot. The driver and a female passenger were arrested after the driver fled on foot and was Tased. Both face felony drug trafficking charges involving fentanyl and methamphetamine, destruction of evidence, and felony eluding. The incident occurred around 2 PM and is under investigation by Idaho Falls Police.
