Warwickshire Police to raise Council Tax by £15 annually to fund improved policing.
Warwickshire Police will raise its share of Council Tax by an average of £15 annually starting April, following approval of an £185 million funding plan.
The increase aims to improve response times, maintain neighbourhood policing, strengthen investigations, and enhance call-handling, while achieving over £2 million in efficiency savings.
Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe said the force is the most underfunded per capita in the country and that declining the rise would have forced deeper cuts.
The decision, made reluctantly, is intended to sustain recent improvements and meet growing public demand for faster, more visible policing.
