Kelso High School celebrates its 50th anniversary by highlighting alumni Ross Anderson and Professor Reuben Bolt, who have achieved national recognition in architecture and Indigenous higher education leadership.
As Kelso High School marks its 50th anniversary in 2026, the "Humans of Kelso High" series spotlight alumni making national impacts.
Ross Anderson, a 1992 graduate, earned degrees from the University of Canberra and Cambridge, worked with architect Daniel Libeskind on major projects, and now teaches architecture at the University of Canberra.
Professor Reuben Bolt, a 1994 graduate, became the first Aboriginal person to earn a PhD from Sydney University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, held leadership roles at UNSW and Charles Darwin University, was appointed to Australia’s National Science and Technology Council in 2024, and returned to the University of Sydney in 2025 as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous Strategy and Services), advancing Indigenous education and equity.
