IndiGo has reduced long-haul flights in early 2026 due to geopolitical airspace restrictions, airport congestion, and increased flight times affecting its Boeing 787-9 fleet.
The airline suspended services to Copenhagen starting February 17, reduced Delhi–Manchester flights from five to three weekly by February 19, and cut Delhi–London Heathrow services from five to four weekly starting February 9.
These changes, accelerated from the summer 2026 schedule, aim to improve on-time performance and reduce delays and missed connections.
Affected passengers are being offered alternatives, refunds, or compensation.
The airline, which began wide-body operations in March 2025 via a lease with Norse Atlantic Airways, plans to introduce Airbus A350-900 aircraft in early 2028.
